The Kyle and Carrick Out and About Excursion Clubs run a weekly bus to places of interest: local towns and villages, shopping centres, restaurants, garden centres and a host of other options. Designed for those who find it harder to get about independently, we have wheelchair accessible buses with room for walking aids to take our members ‘Out and About’. Members are picked up from their own front door (or from a place of their choosing) and dropped off again at the end of the excursion.
We have two groups: Out & About Kyle and Out & About Carrick.
The Kyle area covers Ayr, Troon, Prestwick, Tarbolton, Coylton, Monkton, Dundonald, Mossblown and Annbank.
The Carrick area covers Maybole, Crosshill, Kirkmichael, Straiton, Dunure, Kirkoswald, Maidens, Turnberry, Girvan, Pinmore, Pinwherry, Colmonell, Barr, Barrhill, Lendalfoot and Ballantrae
Membership is free and only requires a membership form be completed, normally the first time you take one of our trips, although the form is available at the bottom of this page if you prefer to complete it in advance.
Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis so either call us on 01292 270864 or email us via the contact form or on book@sacommuntytransport.org in plenty of time to secure your place.
We cannot take group bookings for these trips. If your group would like to go on an excursion, please complete a group membership form and we can discuss times, dates and venues to suit your preferences.
